Detectives are investigating the death of a man and serious head injuries sustained by a woman in Burpengary north of Brisbane. Upon responding to a welfare check at a property on Bramston Court, police discovered the victims, both in their 70s, with severe head injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment. A 26-year-old man from Boondall has been arrested in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing. Police have not identified any immediate threat to the public and anticipate providing an update on the investigation on Thursday afternoon.
