Hong Kong’s Peak Tram Halted for Three Days Due to Fallen Trees

Hong Kong’s Peak Tram has been suspended for a third consecutive day as crews work to clear trees that fell on a slope near the railway tracks after heavy rain on Sunday. The service disruption has left tourists disappointed, with some seeking refunds for their tickets.

Despite the ongoing clearance efforts, the Peak Tram website announced that service will remain suspended for the majority of the time, with updates to be provided as the situation progresses.

The service suspension has affected visitors from various countries, including Poland, France, mainland China, and the Philippines. Many are scrambling to make alternative plans and find other ways to reach the Peak.

While the tram remains out of service, visitors can still reach the Peak through alternative transport methods such as buses, minibuses, and taxis.

Despite the inconvenience, some tourists have taken a more positive view of the situation, citing the reduced crowds at attractions due to the rain.
