Hope for the City Combats Hunger in Las Vegas with Findlay Automotive Group’s Support

Las Vegas, known for its opulence, faces a sobering reality: hunger affects a significant portion of its population. Studies reveal that 1 in 6 children in Nevada go without food, highlighting the urgent need for intervention.

Hope for the City, a dedicated local nonprofit, has stepped up to tackle this issue head-on, aiming to eradicate hunger in Las Vegas. The Findlay Automotive Group has recently become a valuable partner in this mission, recognizing the fundamental importance of addressing hunger.

Tyler Corder, Chief Financial Officer of Findlay Automotive Group, emphasized the moral imperative to support such a basic need. “Food is a necessity that everyone requires. For many in our city, it’s a daily struggle. Those who can help have a responsibility to do so.”

The pandemic has exacerbated food insecurity in Las Vegas, with Hope for the City CEO Mike Bodine estimating a gap of 56 million meals annually to eradicate hunger. The organization’s multifaceted approach includes operating 12 pop-up food pantries and distributing an impressive 21 million pounds of food in the past four years. They also have an ambitious plan to provide 10,000 meals daily to children in need this summer.

Bodine expressed gratitude for Findlay Automotive Group’s support, acknowledging its impact on the community. “Their donation will make a tangible difference in the lives of real people.”

Hope for the City welcomes donations and volunteers to join them in their fight against hunger. Findlay Automotive Group’s commitment to community engagement continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Together, they strive to create a Las Vegas where everyone has access to the basic necessity of food.
