Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Horseshoe Bay Resort, a member of the Crescent Hotels & Resorts Latitudes collection, is set to host its highly anticipated 19th Annual Wine, Dine & Jazz Festival on November 8th and 9th. This renowned event is a celebration of culinary artistry, soulful music, and the finest wines the region has to offer.
The festival promises a weekend of unforgettable experiences for food and music enthusiasts. Attendees will have the opportunity to savor a luxurious five-course dinner on Friday, paired with carefully selected wines. The dinner will be crafted by a trio of renowned celebrity chefs: Chef Jernard Wells, celebrated at the James Beard House and host of “New Soul Kitchen” on CLEO TV; Chef Ali Clem, known for his Texas-style smoked brisket at Austin’s La Barbecue; and Chef Jo Chan, a former Top Chef contestant and founder of Bureau de Poste in Austin. They will be joined by Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Culinary Director, Chef Bill Osloond, and Executive Chef Gilbert Moore.
Saturday’s schedule features captivating cooking demonstrations by the celebrity chefs, followed by the highlight of the festival – the Wine & Jazz Stroll. This immersive experience invites guests to sample wines from 14 Texas Hill Country wineries, indulge in delectable cuisine from 11 exceptional local restaurants, and enjoy live performances by renowned jazz musicians.
The musical lineup is equally impressive. Peter White, a versatile acoustic guitarist known for his work in contemporary jazz, will grace the stage alongside Chris Walker, who spent over two decades as Al Jarreau’s musical director, co-vocalist, and bassist. Michael Paulo, a saxophonist with a career spanning pop, soul, and jazz for nearly 35 years, will also perform, as will Grammy-winning keyboardist Gregg Karukas. Completing the musical experience is Austin-based soul singer B. Valentine.
“We are so proud of this wonderful annual tradition that brings together stars from the culinary world and world-class musicians for an unforgettable weekend experience,” says Managing Director Randy Zupanski. “Our lineup of celebrity and great local chefs, plus nationally touring musicians is a rare combination in the Texas Hill Country. We are really looking forward to this weekend of festivities, with wine tastings from 14 Texas Hill Country Wines, cuisine tastings from 11 exceptional restaurants and some of the finest jazz music anywhere.”
