Housing Partnership Network (HPN), a national membership network of over 100 leading affordable housing organizations, is excited to announce the appointment of Noel Andrés Poyo as Executive Vice President of Peer Exchange, Policy, and Programs. Poyo brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role, having dedicated his 25+ year career to fostering economic inclusion and improving the lives of underserved communities.
Poyo’s extensive background in community development, affordable housing, and impact investing is evident in his previous roles. He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Community Economic Development at the U.S. Department of Treasury, playing a key role in implementing housing and economic development policies designed to support underserved communities. Notably, he led the Emergency Rental Assistance and Homeowner Assistance Fund programs, vital national responses to the economic and health crises of recent years.
Prior to his public service, Poyo served as Executive Director of the National Association for Latino Community Assets Builders (NALCAB), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Latino communities through financial empowerment and asset building. He also served as an inaugural member of the Community Advisory Council for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
In his new role at HPN, Poyo will oversee peer exchange, policy, and programmatic initiatives designed to support HPN’s diverse membership. His commitment to community development and his deep understanding of the challenges facing affordable housing organizations make him a valuable asset to HPN and its members.
