How to Win Cooking Competitions in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

To access the cooking minigame, you must first unlock it by speaking to Kurtz, a chef located in Hishahn. He will ask you to find the Grilled Tutuva recipe, which can be obtained by speaking to an NPC in Treefolk Village. Once you have the recipe, return it to Kurtz, and he will join your army. You can then build the Restaurant in your home base, where you can participate in cooking competitions.

The cooking competition arc begins shortly after building the restaurant. You will face off against an opponent, with four judges deciding which meals are more scrumptious. The judges are allies you have recruited during the campaign. Before each match, the emcee will introduce the judges and mention their favorite dishes or provide hints based on their descriptions. You can also learn about your allies’ backgrounds and preferences through the Divination Parlor.

To increase your chances of winning, consider the following dishes: Omelet, Coconut Water, and a dish that you think would suit the taste of any judge. These dishes tend to score well with the judges.

As you progress through the competitions, you will encounter Trey, Kurtz’s rival. To beat him, you must find the Scroll of Heaven, which is located in the Seaside Caverns dungeon. Once you possess the scroll, continue battling syndicate members until Trey appears again. The Omelet and Coconut Water trick should be sufficient to defeat him.

Throughout the cooking challenges, you will also encounter a masked woman who confronts losing syndicate members. If you defeat her, she will reveal herself as Celia and join the resistance. The final bout is against the Chairman, the leader of the Dark Dragon Syndicate. Prepare the same dishes as before and hope for the best. Defeating the Chairman will end the syndicate and the competition arc.

By following these tips, you will have a better chance of winning cooking competitions in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, recruiting new allies, and expanding your headquarters. For more tips and guides, visit our Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes hub.
