The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has announced the commencement of counselling for HPCET 2024 admissions. Candidates who have qualified the HPCET entrance exam can participate in the centralized counselling process for B.Tech courses offered by participating institutes. The counselling will be conducted in offline mode at the HPTU campus in Daruhi, Hamirpur.
Seat allotment will be based on a combination of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and HPCET 2024 scores. For any remaining vacancies, additional rounds will be conducted based on Class 12 marks. The first round of counselling prioritizes candidates based on their JEE Main scores. This round is further divided for various categories, including All India Quota Seats, Tuition Fee Waiver, and reserved categories. Candidates belonging to these categories can attend counselling starting from July 25th, 2024, at 10:00 AM onwards. They will have until July 29th, 4:00 PM, to report at the designated centre. Vacant seats after this round will be declared on July 29th, 5:00 PM.
Separate counselling rounds based on HPCET scores and Class 12 marks will be held in the coming days. Candidates are advised to refer to the official HPCET counselling schedule available on the HIMTU website for detailed information and category-specific dates. They should also ensure that they bring all original documents along with a set of self-attested copies for verification during the counselling process.
