HRAWI Conducts Food Safety Training for Hospitality Professionals in Nagpur

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) recently conducted an extensive Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) program in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Held at Hotel Airport Centre Point in Nagpur on June 22nd, the event saw participation from 34 hospitality professionals eager to enhance their knowledge and skills in food safety.

The training, led by Dr. V. Pasupathy of Parikshan, aimed to equip professionals with the necessary tools to maintain safe and hygienic food practices within their establishments. The program commenced with an inauguration ceremony attended by prominent figures including Dr. Pasupathy, Tejinder Singh Renu (EC member & City Coordinator for Nagpur at HRAWI), Vinod Joshi (Treasurer), Nitin Mehta (Executive Body Member), and Kamal Mulchandani (Member from the Nagpur Residential Hotels Association).

Participants underwent comprehensive training that covered a wide range of critical aspects, including food handling techniques, preparation methods, hygiene standards, sanitation practices, and effective waste management. By emphasizing these crucial areas, the program aimed to provide attendees with practical skills to enforce rigorous food safety protocols in their daily operations.

HRAWI has demonstrated its commitment to improving food safety standards within the hospitality sector through its successful training initiatives. The organization has trained and certified over 3,030 professionals through FSSAI’s FoSTaC Training Programme, underscoring its dedication to enhancing food safety practices within the industry.
