Hyderabad MLA T. Raja Singh to Face Preventive Detention on Hanuman Jayanti

Preventive Detention Likely for BJP MLA T. Raja Singh on Hanuman Jayanti to Ensure Peaceful Procession

Hyderabad city police officials have indicated that BJP MLA T. Raja Singh of Goshamahal may be detained as a preventive measure on Hanuman Jayanti, scheduled for Tuesday. This decision aims to ensure that the procession proceeds smoothly and without any disturbances.

Raja Singh has faced previous legal actions from the Sultan Bazar and Afzalgunj police for carrying out unauthorized rallies without appropriate permissions. A suo motu complaint alleges that he organized an illegal rally and played loud music near Hanuman Vyayamshala, causing traffic congestion. He has been charged under relevant sections of the IPC and City Police Act.

Police officials emphasize that Raja Singh violated election rules by exceeding the allotted time for his public meeting and causing disturbances beyond 10 p.m. on April 17. These actions prompted the police to take action and consider preventive measures to prevent similar disruptions on Hanuman Jayanti.
