Hyzon’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell Truck Passes Rigorous Trial with IMC Logistics, Driving Towards Commercialization

## Hyzon’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell Truck Passes Rigorous Trial with IMC Logistics, Driving Towards Commercialization

Hyzon, a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of high-performance hydrogen fuel cell systems, has successfully completed a two-week trial of its Class 8 200kW Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) with IMC Logistics, the largest container drayage company in the United States. This successful trial marks a significant milestone for Hyzon, demonstrating the viability and real-world performance of its hydrogen fuel cell technology for heavy-duty transportation.

The trial, conducted in the local Houston market, saw the Hyzon truck cover over 1,000 miles, undergoing rigorous testing under real-world conditions. IMC Logistics, known for its commitment to sustainability and its already expansive fleet of hydrogen vehicles, was impressed with the truck’s performance, receiving positive feedback from its drivers.

“The success of this trial with IMC is in line with the impressive outcomes we’ve seen across the other trials of our Class 8 200kW Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) truck,” said Hyzon CEO Parker Meeks. “These consistent outcomes reinforce our confidence as we move toward full commercial activation, marking an exciting step forward in deploying hydrogen fuel cell solutions at scale.”

IMC Logistics, recognizing the potential of hydrogen fuel cell technology to further its sustainability goals, is actively exploring ways to integrate these vehicles into its fleet. “We put the truck through a rigorous trial, and it performed well, with positive feedback from drivers,” said Will Connell, IMC Logistics Gulf Region President. “Our company already has the largest deployment of hydrogen vehicles in the nation and in support of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, IMC is eager to review new technologies that would enable us to expand where we can service our customers with environmentally friendly solutions for their supply chain.”

Hyzon’s ongoing trial program, which has seen eight successful trials since July 2024, is designed to validate the performance of its Class 8 and refuse truck platforms. The company has more than 20 large fleet trials planned through February 2025, demonstrating its commitment to bringing its innovative hydrogen fuel cell technology to market.

The success of this trial with IMC Logistics reinforces Hyzon’s position as a leader in the hydrogen fuel cell industry. The company is dedicated to developing and deploying clean, zero-emission solutions for heavy-duty industries, playing a pivotal role in the transition towards a more sustainable future.
