The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a one-time opportunity for students to submit their applications for the Chartered Accountants Final and Post Qualification Course (PQC) exams. This includes the Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT-AT).
The online application window, which was previously closed, has been reopened with a late fee of ₹600. Students can now access the application link on the ICAI’s official website – icai.org and submit their forms from Wednesday, September 11th at 11 am to Thursday, September 12th at 11:59 pm.
This reopening is a result of the ICAI’s revised exam schedule for the Intermediate and Foundation exams, which will now be held three times a year instead of the previous two. This change has significantly shortened the online application period from 28 days to 17 days. The ICAI explained that this adjustment is necessary to ensure timely completion of various exam-related processes, including finalizing exam centers, evaluating answer sheets, and promptly announcing results.
The 17-day application window will now be applicable to all forthcoming Chartered Accountants examinations, including the Final and PQC exams scheduled for November 2024. Students are urged to adhere to these new timelines and submit their applications within the designated period.
The ICAI had previously announced these changes on July 18th, 2024, giving students ample time to prepare and submit their applications. This extension provides a valuable opportunity for students who missed the initial deadline or require additional time to complete their applications.
