In a powerful demonstration of military strength, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have targeted both Hamas and Hezbollah, successfully uncovering and dismantling an underground weapons manufacturing facility in Gaza. Additionally, a key commander of Hezbollah has been eliminated in Lebanon. The IDF released raw footage revealing the hidden Hamas operations concealed beneath civilian areas in Gaza.
In an announcement on X, the IDF stated, “RAW FOOTAGE of an underground weapons manufacturing facility located and dismantled in central Gaza. Witness what Hamas conceals under civilian populations.” This operation underscores the serious threat posed by Hamas’s covert activities and highlights the IDF’s resolve to counteract them.
In a significant blow to Hezbollah, Israel confirmed the elimination of Jaafar Khader Faour, the commander of the Nasser Unit’s Missiles and Rockets Array, in the Jouaiyya region of southern Lebanon. The IDF reported on X, “Jaafar Khader Faour, commander of Hezbollah’s Nasser Unit, was eliminated in Jouaiyya, southern Lebanon.”
Faour’s removal is a crucial loss for Hezbollah, as he orchestrated numerous devastating rocket attacks against Israel, including ones that tragically resulted in the deaths of 12 children in Majdal Shams and five civilians in Metula. The IDF detailed his responsibility for attacks targeting the Golan, including those that caused significant civilian casualties.
Moreover, in another operation, the IDF captured a Hezbollah official, Imad Amhaz, about 140 kilometers (87 miles) north of Israel’s maritime border with Lebanon. The operation was executed by the Navy’s Shayetet 13 commando unit. Amhaz is regarded as a vital source of intelligence on Hezbollah’s naval capabilities and is currently undergoing interrogation by Unit 504 of the Military Intelligence Directorate.
