IHCL Expands Presence in India with New Taj Hotel in Gurugram

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality chain, has announced a significant expansion of its presence in the country. The company has signed an agreement to build a new Taj hotel in Gurugram, Haryana. This development is a greenfield project, meaning it is being built from the ground up, and will feature the prestigious Taj brand.

IHCL’s decision to build a new hotel in Gurugram is strategically sound. The city is rapidly becoming a major commercial hub in India, attracting businesses from a wide range of sectors, including BPOs, IT firms, and multinational companies. Its proximity to the National Capital Region (NCR) has also made it an attractive destination for both business and leisure travelers.

The new Taj hotel in Gurugram will offer a range of luxurious amenities and services. It will feature 225 spacious guest rooms and suites, all designed to provide maximum comfort and luxury. Guests will also have access to a variety of dining options, including an all-day restaurant, a bar, a specialty dining venue, and a versatile lounge area. In addition, the hotel will boast extensive banquet and meeting spaces, making it an ideal location for conferences, events, and weddings.

The hotel will also feature a number of recreational facilities, including a gym, a spa, a swimming pool, and a social garden. This focus on providing both business and leisure amenities is indicative of IHCL’s commitment to catering to the diverse needs of its guests.

IHCL is partnering with Tivoli Group on this project. Armaan Gupta, Executive Director of Tivoli Group, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that the new Taj hotel will cater to the growing demand for luxury hospitality experiences in the region.

This new development will add to IHCL’s growing portfolio of hotels in Haryana, which will soon include a total of six properties, with two currently under construction. This expansion further underscores IHCL’s dedication to expanding its reach across India’s key markets.
