IHG is on a mission to expand its footprint across Northern Europe, bringing a diverse range of hotel experiences to the region. Germany is set to become a hub for two new IHG brands: the luxurious and stylish Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and the midscale conversion brand Garner, both scheduled to launch later this year. Adding to this excitement, IHG’s extended stay brand, Candlewood Suites, is set to make its debut in Germany in early 2025, offering a comfortable and convenient option for longer stays.
The expansion extends beyond Germany. Hungary has recently embraced its first Kimpton and Vignette Collection hotels, while Sweden welcomed its first voco hotel brand. Poland is also on the map, with a new voco hotel property signed. This expansion signifies IHG’s commitment to providing travelers with a variety of choices across Northern Europe.
IHG’s growth is further evident in pipeline projects under the Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn Express, and Holiday Inn brands. These projects are strategically located in thriving cities like Krakow, Munich, and Lublin, demonstrating IHG’s focus on key locations. Furthermore, the company has entered into a significant long-term agreement with NOVUM Hospitality, leading to 30 new Holiday Inn – the niu brand collaborations since April 2024.
With 197 hotels currently operating across 13 countries in Northern Europe, IHG is solidifying its position as a leading hospitality provider. An impressive 169 properties are also under development, signifying future growth for the company. These projects encompass a diverse portfolio of brands, including the renowned Six Senses, Regent, InterContinental, Kimpton, voco, and Holiday Inn, offering travelers a wide array of choices to suit their preferences. IHG’s expansion in Northern Europe is a testament to its commitment to offering exceptional hotel experiences and catering to the evolving needs of travelers in the region.
