Based in Gurugram, Battery Smart currently operates an extensive network of 1,000 swapping stations across 28 cities, facilitating 55,000 battery swaps daily. Reflecting on their entrepreneurial journey, Khurana and Sikka acknowledge the pivotal role their decision to launch Battery Smart played in shaping their careers. The company’s growth trajectory is impressive, with plans to expand into 10 additional cities before year-end. This expansion is supported by a recent $45 million funding round, valuing the company at Rs 2,830 crore ($341 million). Investors include Acacia Inclusion Limited, MUFG Bank, Blume Ventures, The Ecosystem Integrity Fund, and British International Investment.
