IKEA, the globally recognized Swedish furnishing brand, has forged a strategic alliance with Rhenus, an esteemed global logistics leader, to establish a state-of-the-art warehousing facility spanning over 1.5 lakh square feet in the vicinity of Gurugram. This collaboration represents a significant stride towards enhancing IKEA’s home delivery capabilities within the Delhi-NCR region.
The upcoming facility, strategically located near Gurugram, boasts excellent connectivity via rail, road, and air, ensuring seamless transportation of goods to and from the warehouse. With a capacity to store and fulfill over 7000 products, this facility will play a pivotal role in fulfilling the majority of orders within a swift 24-hour timeframe, greatly enhancing customer convenience.
The integration of advanced technology within the warehouse operations will further augment flexibility and cost-effectiveness, optimizing IKEA’s supply chain management. The northern region of India, particularly cities such as Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram, has witnessed a surge in real estate development, leading to an increased demand for home furnishings. IKEA’s strategic move to establish an omni-channel presence in the region, commencing mid-2025, aligns with this growing demand, enabling the company to reach customers across Delhi NCR and neighboring markets.
