Northwest and Central India are expected to experience widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Uttarakhand and Central India are likely to see fairly widespread rainfall, while Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh may experience scattered to fairly widespread rainfall. Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and Rajasthan are expected to see isolated to scattered rainfall during this period. Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Madhya Pradesh from the 9th to the 13th, East Uttar Pradesh from the 10th to the 13th, Uttarakhand from the 10th to the 12th, Himachal Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh on the 11th and 12th, Jammu, north Haryana, north Punjab on the 12th, East Rajasthan from the 9th to the 11th, Vidarbha on the 9th and 10th, West Rajasthan on the 9th, and Chhattisgarh from the 11th to the 13th of July. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over East Uttar Pradesh from the 10th to the 12th of July.
Regions like Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, and Karnataka in West and South Peninsular India are predicted to experience widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. The IMD forecasts scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall in Gujarat, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Telangana. Isolated to scattered instances of light to moderate rainfall are anticipated over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, and Rayalaseema during this period.
IMD has also issued an updated forecast indicating isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall across several regions from the 10th to the 13th of July. Specifically, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Coastal Karnataka are expected to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall during this period. Saurashtra & Kutch and Telangana will likely witness isolated heavy rainfall on the 9th and 10th of July, respectively. Kerala & Mahe and South Interior Karnataka are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall on the 12th and 13th of July.
Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is expected over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, and Northeast India. Additionally, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is predicted over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha during this period. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places from the 9th to the 11th of July, with isolated extremely heavy rainfall also very likely during this time frame. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya from the 9th to the 13th of July, while Jharkhand and Odisha may receive isolated heavy rainfall on specific days. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura are forecasted to have rainfall on the 9th, 10th, and 13th of July.
