A 24-year-old man, Sangeet Singh, was arrested on Thursday at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport for impersonating a Singapore Airlines pilot. Dressed in a pilot’s uniform and carrying a fabricated ID card, Singh posed as an employee of the airline. Upon verification, authorities discovered that Singh’s credentials were not genuine.
Further investigation revealed that Singh had used an online app called Business Card Maker to create the fake ID cards and had purchased the uniform from Dwarka. Despite completing an Aviation Hospitality course in Mumbai in 2020, Singh misled his family and acquaintances into believing that he was a Singapore Airlines pilot.
Singh’s actions prompted his arrest and the registration of a case against him. The incident highlights the importance of verifying the authenticity of credentials and the consequences of impersonation.
