Incident on ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ Set Injures Crew Members

An incident occurred on the set of Eddie Murphy’s new film, ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4,’ resulting in injuries to several crew members. The incident took place during the filming of an action scene, leading to injuries among crew members, as per report. It was further noted that none of the cast members, including Murphy, were present on set at the time.

“On April 20, an accident occurred on the set of during a rehearsed 2nd unit action sequence,” a spokesperson for MGM Studios told in a statement. “Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result.”

The statement continued: “We are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering.” The production company also highlighted the importance of ensuring the safety of their staff on set.

“The well-being of the entire crew and cast is our first priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry standards of safety while filming,” the statement read. “All safety precautions were reviewed prior to and monitored during the shoot.” While specific details of the incident remain unclear, according to the AP report, it involved a car accident wherein a truck collided with a car, described as “a freak accident.” The planned stunt was described as neither “complicated or dangerous.” However, as a consequence of the incident, two staff members required hospitalization, with some sustaining broken bones.

Murphy isn’t the only big star in this new film; the cast also features other familiar faces including Pete Davidson, Keke Palmer, Andrew Dice Clay, Eva Longoria, and Ismael Cruz Cordova. Filming is currently underway in Atlanta, Georgia, with the release date yet to be announced.
