In a significant move aimed at bolstering development and governance in the union territory of Ladakh, the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the creation of five new districts. These new districts, namely Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang, are envisioned to bring the benefits of government schemes and initiatives closer to the people residing in these remote areas.
