India’s dominance at the second World Deaf Shooting Championship in Hanover, Germany, continued on day two as they secured a clean sweep of medals in the men’s 10m air rifle event. Dhanush Srikanth, Shourya Saini, and Mohammed Murtaza Vania displayed remarkable skill and precision, securing gold, silver, and bronze, respectively.
Dhanush Srikanth etched his name in the record books by setting two world records in a single day. He shattered the previous qualification record with a stunning score of 632.7, followed by an equally impressive final score of 251.7, leaving his competitors trailing behind. Shourya Saini secured the silver with a score of 249.9, while Mohammed Murtaza Vania claimed the bronze with a score of 226.2.
The Indian team’s success wasn’t limited to the men’s event. Mahit Sandhu and Natasha Joshi continued India’s impressive performance in the women’s category, securing silver and bronze medals, respectively. These victories further strengthened India’s position in the medal standings.
Adding to their already impressive performance, the Indian contingent had secured four medals on the first day of the competition, including one gold, two silver, and a bronze. This incredible display of skill and determination has firmly established India as a force to be reckoned with in the Deaf Shooting World Championship.
