India Drawn in Group A with Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand for Women’s T20 World Cup

India has been drawn into Group A alongside defending champions Australia, New Zealand, and Pakistan for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in Bangladesh from October 3-20. All of India’s group matches will be played in Sylhet, starting with a clash against New Zealand on October 4. The team will then face arch-rivals Pakistan on October 6, followed by Qualifier 1 on October 9 and six-time world champions Australia on October 13. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on October 17 and 18, with the final scheduled for October 20 in Dhaka. India will be aiming to make a strong impact in the tournament, having finished runners-up in the previous edition held in Australia. The team will be led by experienced captain Harmanpreet Kaur and will be looking to utilize the experience gained during their recent tour of England. India’s women’s cricket team has been in good form in recent years, having reached the semi-finals of the 2020 T20 World Cup and winning the silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. They will be hoping to continue their good run of form and challenge for the title in Bangladesh.
