Scholz expressed appreciation for India’s stance on a lasting and just peace in Ukraine, emphasizing Germany’s readiness to work together to find a political solution to the conflict. He also underscored the importance of de-escalation in the Middle East, calling for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and a political process that leads to a two-state solution.
Skilled Labor and Economic Growth:
PM Modi welcomed Germany’s Skilled Labour Strategies for India, acknowledging the significant contribution of Indian youth to Germany’s prosperity and growth. He expressed confidence that Germany’s decision to increase visas for skilled Indians from 20,000 to 90,000 annually will provide a fresh impetus to Germany’s economic development.Both leaders underscored the flourishing economic ties between the two countries, with bilateral trade reaching over $30 billion. Hundreds of German companies are operating in India, while Indian companies are rapidly expanding their presence in Germany.
