Heatwave conditions are highly probable in isolated areas of Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar from May 2 to 5. Other states, including Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Gujarat, Kerala, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and southern Rajasthan, may experience heatwave conditions in the coming days.
Humid weather is likely to prevail in Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe throughout the week, with Konkan also experiencing humidity on May 2 and 5.
Rainfall predictions indicate widespread to fairly widespread light to moderate precipitation accompanied by isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from May 2 to 8. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on May 2, 5, and 6, with isolated heavy rainfall in Sikkim on May 5.
Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh may experience isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall or snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning from May 3 to 6. Isolated very light to light rainfall is possible in West Uttar Pradesh from May 5 to 8, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on May 4 and 5, and Punjab and West Rajasthan on May 4.
Isolated light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal from May 2 to 5, increasing to scattered to fairly widespread rainfall from May 6 to 9. Isolated hailstorms are possible in Odisha on May 2.
Bihar and Jharkhand may experience isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning from May 5 to 9. Similar conditions are expected over Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe from May 2 to 8, and over Telangana and Karnataka from May 6 to 8.
