India Post has announced the release of the first merit list for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2024. Candidates who applied for the GDS positions can now check the circle-wise and category-wise merit lists on the official websites, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in and indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in. The merit list has been published for several postal circles, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal. Results for other circles are expected to be released soon.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 GDS posts across the country. The selection process for the GDS posts is based solely on the candidates’ 10th class marks, without any interview or written examination. The merit list has been meticulously prepared based on these marks, and those shortlisted will proceed to the Document Verification (DV) stage, followed by a Medical Examination (ME).
Candidates can download the result and check their status in the merit list through the official websites. The document verification process will ensure that only eligible candidates are selected for the GDS positions. In case vacancies remain unfilled after this round, additional merit lists will be published.
India Post had invited applications for these positions from 15 July to 5 August 2024. Applicants are advised to regularly check the official website for updates on further merit lists and subsequent rounds of the selection process.
