Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have jointly announced that India will tour South Africa for a short four-match T20I series in November this year. The series is set to begin on November 8 at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, with subsequent matches taking place in Gqeberha on November 10, Centurion on December 13, and Johannesburg on November 15.
CSA chairperson Lawson Naidoo expressed gratitude to the BCCI for their ongoing support of South African cricket, emphasizing the strong camaraderie and exciting cricket that accompany any Indian tour. He also highlighted the anticipation among South African fans for this series, which promises to showcase exceptional talent from both teams.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the deep and enduring bond between India and South Africa. He highlighted the mutual appreciation and love shared between the fans of both nations and expressed confidence that the upcoming series will deliver thrilling and high-intensity contests.
India’s short tour to South Africa has been strategically scheduled between its home Test series against New Zealand and its tour of Australia for the Border-Gavaskar series. This compact itinerary allows the Indian team to participate in multiple series while maintaining a well-balanced schedule.
