Indian Air Force Fighter Jet Releases Air Store Near Pokhran

On Wednesday, an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter aircraft experienced a technical malfunction, resulting in the unintentional release of an ‘air store’ near the Pokhran firing range area. The IAF confirmed the incident in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the release was due to a technical issue.

Thankfully, the incident caused no damage to life or property. The IAF immediately launched an investigation into the incident to determine the root cause of the malfunction. The statement emphasized that the air store, a type of external fuel tank used by aircraft, was released inadvertently and did not pose any threat to public safety.
