Indian Air Force MiG-29 Crashes in Rajasthan, Pilot Ejects Safely

A MiG-29 fighter jet belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in the Barmer district of Rajasthan on Monday evening. The incident occurred during a routine night training mission. The IAF confirmed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the aircraft encountered a critical technical snag, prompting the pilot to eject. Thankfully, the pilot ejected safely and there were no reports of loss of life or damage to property. The Air Force has ordered a Court of Inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. This incident comes less than a month after another incident involving an IAF fighter aircraft. On August 21st, an object fell from an IAF fighter aircraft in the Pokhran area of Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district. Fortunately, this incident also occurred in an isolated area and caused no damage or casualties.
