Indian-Origin Woman’s Viral Video Highlights the Privileges of Indians

In a viral video, Selene Khosla, an Indian-origin woman residing in Canada, shared her experience of returning an Amazon package in Canada, highlighting the stark contrast with the process in India. Khosla, a psychologist and leadership trainer, emphasized the “privilege” enjoyed by Indians due to the seamless return process in their home country.

While walking in the bright sun, wearing sunglasses and a cap, Kholsa narrated her experience of returning an Amazon package in Canada. She drew comparisons between the return processes in India and Canada, expressing her appreciation for the convenience offered in India. She mentioned that in India, Amazon provides a 30-day return policy and offers the convenience of doorstep pickup, while in Canada, customers are required to pack the item themselves, print the return label, and find a printer.

Khosla further elaborated on the challenges faced in Canada, including the lack of home delivery for printouts like Swiggy provides in India. She expressed her gratitude for the efficient systems in India and the delivery personnel who make returns hassle-free.

Khosla’s video resonated with many viewers, garnering over 4 million views and 255,000 likes on Instagram as of Thursday evening. Numerous users flooded the comments section, expressing their appreciation for India’s systems. One user remarked, “No place like INDIA,” while another added, “NRIs and foreign students truly know the real value of India.”

Actor Aparshakti Khurana, brother of Ayushmann Khurrana, also acknowledged the video, expressing his sentiments with “Indiaaaaaa…indiaaaaaaa.” However, it’s important to note that Khosla’s video may not reflect her overall impression of Canada. In the caption of her Instagram post, she clarified, “P.S. My love for Canada and shopping from Amazon is still strong.”
