In a significant victory against terrorism, Indian security forces have eliminated two terrorists in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, codenamed ‘Operation GUGALDHAR,’ was carried out by a joint team of J-K Police and the army. The army confirmed the elimination of the terrorists in a statement, also revealing that war-like stores were recovered. A search operation of the area is currently underway.
Earlier, security forces displayed swift action in foiling an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Kupwara. The army’s Srinagar based Chinar Corps reported that troops detected suspicious activity in Gugaldhar and engaged the infiltrators, leading to an exchange of fire. The operation, still ongoing, showcases the vigilant efforts of the security forces in maintaining peace and security in the region.
