Under the new policy, adopted on April 18th, Indian nationals are eligible for multi-entry visas with a validity of up to two years, extendable to five years. The policy streamlines the visa process, enabling Indians to travel freely within the Schengen Zone, which comprises 29 European countries. This move strengthens the diplomatic ties between India and the EU, as part of the EU-India Common Agenda on Migration and Mobility (CAMM). The CAMM promotes safe and legal migration while addressing irregular migration challenges.
