India’s Swimmers Set to Compete at Paris 2024 Olympics

The swimming events at the Paris 2024 Olympics are set to take place from July 27 to August 4 in the Paris La Defense Arena. Swimming has been a part of the Olympics since the inaugural games in 1896, initially featuring only men’s competitions in the 100m and 1500m freestyle events, held in open water. Women were first included in the Olympic swimming competitions in 1912. Today, the Summer Olympics features 32 swimming races, equally divided between men and women.

India will be represented by two swimmers at the Paris Games. Srihari Nataraj will compete in the men’s 100m backstroke, while Dhinidhi Desinghu will participate in the women’s 200m freestyle event. Both athletes will be looking to make their mark on the world stage and showcase their talent.

The swimming events at the Olympics are always a highlight, with athletes from around the world pushing their limits and striving for gold. It will be exciting to see how India’s swimmers perform in Paris and what they can achieve.
