Indonesian Woman Found Dead Inside Python’s Stomach After Disappearing for 12 Hours

In a shocking turn of events, a woman in Indonesia has been found dead inside the stomach of a five-meter-long python. The deceased, 45-year-old Farida, had been missing for over 12 hours before her body was discovered in the snake’s stomach.

Farida, a resident of Kelampang village in South Sulawesi province, had been reported missing by her husband and family members on Thursday night. Concerned about her absence, they initiated a search and discovered her belongings near the village area.

Suspicions arose when the villagers spotted a python with an abnormally large belly. They decided to cut open the giant snake’s stomach, revealing Farida’s lifeless body. The incident has left the community in shock and disbelief.

Tragically, such incidents of pythons swallowing adult humans have become increasingly common in Indonesia. In 2023, a python was killed in Southeast Sulawesi’s Tinanggea district after it was found strangling and consuming a villager. Similarly, in 2018, a 54-year-old woman was killed and swallowed by a giant seven-meter python in Southeast Sulawesi’s Muna town.

These occurrences underscore the potential dangers posed by pythons in the region. Villagers have expressed concerns about their safety, as multiple cases of people going missing and later being found inside pythons have been reported.
