Influencer Dies After Falling Into Gorge While Making Video at Kumbhe Waterfall

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, July 16th, when Anvi Kamdar, a 27-year-old Mumbai-based influencer, lost her life after falling into a 300-foot deep gorge near the Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon, Raigad district. Kamdar, known as ‘theglocaljournal’ on Instagram with over 257,000 followers, was creating content on travel, luxury finds, cafes, itineraries, tips, and experiences. She was a chartered accountant by profession and a former Deloitte employee. The incident happened during a monsoon outing with seven friends. While recording a video of the scenic surroundings, she tragically fell into the gorge. Her friends alerted the police and local rescuers, who rushed her to the nearby Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital, where she unfortunately died during treatment. Kamdar’s last reel, posted just two days prior to the incident, offered suggestions for long weekend plans on August 15th.

In another shocking incident reported from Dombivli, located 30 kilometers from Mumbai, a woman named Nagina Devi Manjiram died after falling from the third floor of a building. The incident occurred on Tuesday at the Globe State building in the Vikas Naka area of Dombivli East. Nagina, who worked as a cleaner at the building, was sitting near the staircase on the third floor, socializing with her colleagues. While engaging in playful banter with her friend Bunty, she lost her balance and fell. Bunty, who also lost his balance, was thankfully saved by those around him. This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and awareness, especially during recreational activities or social gatherings.
