According to sources, the victim’s husband, Imran Mansuri, orchestrated the plan to unlawfully seize his wife’s property. Mansuri, who was intoxicated at the time, falsely accused his wife of alcohol consumption and violent behavior, leading to her involuntary confinement in the rehabilitation center.
The victim’s daughters grew increasingly concerned when their mother’s phone was repeatedly switched off. They contacted their stepfather, who falsely informed them that their mother had been hospitalized due to declining health.
Suspicious of this claim, the daughters reached out to the police. With their assistance, the victim was rescued from the rehabilitation center. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Mansuri had been manipulated by three other individuals, Shailesh Gauda, Abdullah Beg, and Raju Beg Mansuri, who had previously attempted to seize the victim’s house and nursery in 2017.
According to the victim’s statement to the police, the accused kidnappers attempted to force-feed her a tablet and doused her with alcohol. She was held captive in a separate room, locked away from other women and girls in the facility.
Upon her rescue by the police, the victim discovered that her home and nursery had been ransacked and approximately Rs. 36,000 in cash, intended for her nephews’ school expenses, had been stolen. Furthermore, all property documents were missing.
Despite her husband’s pleas for forgiveness, the victim remained steadfast in her decision to press charges. Mansuri has been remanded to one-day police custody, while the other accused have been summoned for questioning.
The case highlights the serious consequences of false accusations and the lengths to which individuals may go to seize property unlawfully.
