Pharrell Williams’ First Fragrance for Louis Vuitton: LVERS
The fragrance world is buzzing with excitement over the latest release from Louis Vuitton and menswear creative director Pharrell Williams. LVERS, the first fragrance collaboration between the two, is a unique and desirable scent that transcends gender and age.
Inspired by the smell of sunlight, LVERS features notes of galbanum, ginger, and other natural ingredients that create a fresh and elegant aroma. The fragrance is said to evoke memories and represent Williams’ vision of a fragrance that smells like colors.
Williams worked closely with master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud to develop LVERS, which marks Williams’ first fragrance launch with Louis Vuitton. The two creatives began discussing the fragrance after Williams’ debut Vuitton show last June, and the conversation centered around the use of light in nature.
Galbanum, a woody, green note created by the gum resin derived from an Iranian plant, is the main ingredient in LVERS. Williams was instantly drawn to this ingredient, which brings a sense of green freshness to the fragrance. Cavallier-Belletrud explains that galbanum hasn’t been used in fragrances in years, and that it has a unique connection to nature.
Williams describes the scent of LVERS as being on the blue side, with hints of light blue and purple. He says it smells like an elegant, elevated version of something that’s familiar to him.
LVERS is available in a 100ml eau de parfum for $480. The fragrance is sure to be a hit with fans of both Williams and Louis Vuitton, and is a must-have for anyone looking for a unique and sophisticated scent.
