The man then strikes the person in the face. The incident occurred as the Nuggets defeated the Lakers with a buzzer-beating shot, securing a 2-0 lead in the first round series. Both the NBA and Denver police have launched investigations into the matter, according to the Associated Press. As of the time of reporting, no one has come forward as the victim of the assault. The Denver Police Department encourages anyone involved or witness to contact them. Nikola Jokic, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, is a finalist for this year’s award.
