iQOO Z9 Series Leaked: Design, Specs, and Expected Launch Date

iQOO is poised to unveil its iQOO Z9 series, encompassing the iQOO Z9, Z9 Turbo, and Z9x models, on April 24th in China. Recent leaks have surfaced, providing live images of the Z9 and Z9 Turbo, offering a comprehensive insight into their design and specifications.

Both the iQOO Z9 and Z9 Turbo exhibit a design akin to the iQOO 12 series, featuring flat OLED displays, a distinctive squircle camera module housing two sensors, as per iQOO’s description. The iQOO Z9 is showcased in white, while the Z9 Turbo appears in black. Additionally, both phones boast a centrally aligned punch-hole display, complemented by the power and volume keys conveniently positioned on the right side.

The leaked images shed light on the iQOO Z9’s anticipated specifications. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM, 12GB of virtual RAM, and 512GB of onboard storage. In contrast, the iQOO Z9 Turbo is anticipated to boast a more potent Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, accompanied by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Both devices are reported to be equipped with substantial 6,000mAh batteries and run on OriginOS 4, based on Android 14.

Furthermore, both the iQOO Z9 and Z9 Turbo reportedly feature large 6.78-inch screens with a rapid refresh rate of 144 times per second, ensuring smooth visuals. The primary camera is a capable 50MP sensor, and additional lenses are provided for capturing portraits and wide-angle shots, particularly in the Z9 Turbo version. Both phones also incorporate a front camera capable of capturing clear 16MP selfies.

An intriguing aspect is that both the Z9 and Z9 Turbo bear an IP64 rating, indicating their durability against water splashes and dust, making them suitable for everyday use in various conditions.
