The enrichment of uranium by Iran, which could potentially be used in the development of nuclear weapons, has drawn particular attention. International monitors have been denied access to Iran’s uranium enrichment program, further heightening suspicions.
The United Nations nuclear chief has warned that Iran is “weeks, not months” away from having enough uranium to make a bomb. Rafael Mariano Grossi told Deutsche Welle that attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities should be a “no-go”. The International Atomic Energy Agency chief said it is committed to promoting dialogue with Tehran.
