This week, fifteen Irish tourism companies are making their mark on the French travel scene by participating in the IFTM Top Resa, a premier travel trade fair in Paris. The event, which attracts approximately 30,000 attendees, including key tour operators, travel agents, business event planners, and top travel journalists from France, offers a prime opportunity for these Irish companies to establish connections and forge lasting business relationships.
Over the course of three days, the Irish companies will be actively engaging with influential figures in the French travel industry, aiming to secure bookings and partnerships for 2025 and beyond. They plan to conduct around 675 commercial meetings at the Ireland booth, showcasing their diverse range of tourism offerings.
Ana Luis, Tourism Ireland’s Trade Partnership Manager France, emphasizes the significance of this event, stating: “Our presence at IFTM is a valuable opportunity for our partners from the island of Ireland to showcase their product and connect with leading French travel professionals, to negotiate inclusion in their programmes for 2025 and beyond. Around 675 commercial meetings are taking place on the Ireland stand this week.”
Tourism Ireland is actively pursuing the French market as a key driver of tourism to the island of Ireland. France holds the position of one of the top four source markets for Irish tourism, and Tourism Ireland is implementing a comprehensive and targeted promotional campaign in France this autumn. This initiative aims to stimulate late-season travel and establish a strong foundation for continued success in the French market throughout 2025. The goal is to capture the attention of the tour operators, travel agents, and journalists attending IFTM this week, solidifying the island of Ireland as a top destination for French travelers.
