On Monday afternoon, on the eve of the Passover holiday, Israel Air Force fighter jets responded to approximately 35 terrorist rocket launches from southern Lebanon into northern Israel by targeting an undisclosed Hezbollah facility in the region. The strikes also hit Hezbollah-linked buildings in al-Adisa and Arzoun.
No casualties were reported in Israel.
The Israeli Foreign Minister has since directed relevant departments to intensify diplomatic efforts in Europe, advocating for increased sanctions against Iran’s missile program and its support for proxy terrorist entities throughout the Middle East. This campaign aligns with ongoing discussions with European counterparts, emphasizing that Iranian aggression poses a threat not only to Israel and the Middle East but also to Europe itself.
Separately, the US State Department’s annual Country Reports highlighted concerns over human rights abuses in Gaza during the Israel-Hamas conflict. Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed alarm, stating that the conflict raises ‘deeply troubling concerns for human rights.’ The US condemned the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks while urging Israel to minimize civilian casualties in its response.
