Israeli Companies Showcase Defense Tech at Romanian Airport Conference

In a world grappling with rising security concerns, Israel’s prowess in defense technology is increasingly in demand. This was evident at the recent Romanian Airport Authority conference, where IMPROVATE, an Israeli company co-owned by Irina Nevzlin and Ronit Hassin Hochman, played a key role in showcasing the capabilities of nine Israeli defense technology companies. Held annually in Constanța on the Black Sea, the conference focused on emerging security challenges, particularly in the context of ongoing tensions in Europe.

The conference, held on August 22-23, was a platform for these companies to present their latest advancements in airport security to Romanian airport authorities. Ronit Hassin Hochman, CEO of IMPROVATE, highlighted the pressing need for robust security measures in light of global instability and the demand for Israeli technology in Eastern Europe. “We are in a period of global security instability. Many European countries are restocking their defense supplies and seeking the latest technological advancements in defense and security. The demand for Israeli technologies in Romania and Eastern Europe is higher than ever,” she stated.

Over the two-day event, Israeli companies presented their products and innovations, followed by extensive meetings to discuss potential deals and collaborations.

Reports from the conference indicate significant interest from Romanian airports, with several agreements expected to be finalized in the coming months. This success underscores the growing reliance on Israeli technology to bolster security in Eastern Europe.

Looking ahead, IMPROVATE is set to host a “Smart Cities Conference” in Budapest on September 23-24, bringing together fifteen major European cities. This event will showcase innovative technologies from Israeli companies such as Tondo Smart, IPlus Cyber, Ipgallery, Ok2go, Wise Mon, Atmosfir, Galileo, Giv Solutions, and others. Representatives and mayors from cities across Europe, including Budapest, Sofia, Larnaca, Skopje, and Tirana, will be present to explore these advancements.

The conference provides a valuable platform for Israeli companies to connect with potential clients and partners in Europe, further strengthening Israel’s position as a leading innovator in the field of defense and security technology.
