Following the approval from GACA, ITA will initiate its operations with five weekly flights connecting Rome to Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. The inaugural flight is scheduled for June 2, coinciding with the commencement of the summer season. The introduction of this new flight route is anticipated to stimulate tourism and business travel between Italy and Saudi Arabia, offering enhanced travel options for passengers.
This initiative aligns with GACA’s strategic objectives to bolster air connectivity and position the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as an integral part of the global aviation network. Moreover, it supports the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes economic diversification and the development of Saudi Arabia as a global hub for commerce and tourism.
