In a significant move for the 2025 MotoGP season, Australian rider Jack Miller is set to return to Pramac Racing. The announcement, made on Thursday, effectively completes the rider lineup for the upcoming season. Miller will be joining forces with Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira, forming a new dynamic duo at Pramac. The team will be transitioning from Ducati machinery to Yamaha bikes for the 2025 season, marking a new chapter in their journey.
Miller brings a wealth of experience to the team, having previously raced for Honda and Ducati before joining KTM in 2023. He also boasts a successful stint with Pramac Racing from 2018 to 2020. Yamaha is clearly excited about Miller’s addition. Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, expressed confidence in Miller’s abilities. “With 10 years of experience in the MotoGP class with three different manufacturers, Jack will be a valuable asset for Yamaha,” Jarvis stated. “His speed, knowledge, work ethic, and team spirit will be invaluable to our project as we plan to improve the performance of the M1 (motorbike) in 2025 and beyond. Yamaha will be supporting him in every way they can.”
Pramac Racing will receive full factory support from Yamaha, utilizing the factory 2025 YZR-M1 bike. The team’s current lineup, featuring championship contender Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli, will be departing at the end of the 2024 season. Martin is headed to Aprilia, while Morbidelli will join the VR46 Racing team. This change opens the door for Miller’s return and the exciting new chapter for Pramac Racing on Yamaha bikes.
