A Jackson County man was treated and released from the hospital Sunday after suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
Police were called at 1:50 a.m. April 21 to a home in the 100 block of Lincoln Court in Summit Township, south of the Jackson city limits, for a report of shots fired, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived and the man, 43, was taken to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital for emergency medical treatment, police said. The wound, though to the head, was deemed non-life threatening.
Police are looking for a possible shooter. Police have made no arrests and the shooting remains under investigation. Investigators do not believe it was self-inflicted.
No other victims have been located and it is unclear what led to the shooting, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mark Easter at 517-768-7934.
