The Doda region in Jammu has witnessed a surge in terror incidents since June, prompting security agencies to believe that Pakistan-based terror handlers are attempting to revive terrorism in the hilly district. Besides the fatal encounter in Dessa forest, at least 10 security personnel have been injured in separate terror attacks between June 12 and July 18. Three terrorists were killed in a day-long operation in the Gandoh area on June 26.
