Jason Taylor, Ex-Meta Executive, Joins Microsoft’s AI Supercomputing Team

Jason Taylor brings years of experience in AI, data, and privacy infrastructure to Microsoft. He previously held various roles at Meta, including overseeing AI infrastructure and managing server budgets.

Taylor’s appointment follows Microsoft’s hiring of Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Google DeepMind, to lead its consumer AI division. Microsoft is investing heavily in AI supercomputing to keep pace with advancements in AI technology.

The company has reportedly planned to build a $100 billion supercomputer named ‘Stargate’ in partnership with OpenAI, although Scott has downplayed such rumors on LinkedIn. Microsoft’s focus on AI aligns with its goal of scaling revenue in the AI space, as highlighted by Goldman Sachs ahead of its Q3 earnings.
