JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, Father Booked for Sexual Harassment, Stalking

A case of sexual harassment and stalking has been filed against JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna and his father, HD Revanna, in Holenarasipur, Karnataka. The complainant, a relative of Revanna’s wife, alleges inappropriate behavior from both father and son. Prajwal Revanna is facing additional accusations of making vulgar video calls to her daughter. The complaint also raises concerns about the safety of the complainant and her family.

The case came to light after the circulation of objectionable videos allegedly involving Prajwal Revanna. The Karnataka government has formed a three-member SIT to investigate the matter, headed by IPS officer Vijay Kumar Singh. The other members of the team are DG CID Suman D Pennekar and IPS officer Seema Latkar.

The SIT will investigate the alleged sexual harassment and stalking, as well as the circulation of the objectionable videos. The case has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 354 A (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354 D, 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
