JEE Mains 2024 Session 2 Results Announced: Maharashtra’s Nilkrishna Gajare Secures Top Rank

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2024 Session 2 on Wednesday, April 24th. Nilkrishna Gajare from Washim, Maharashtra, emerged as the national topper with an impressive performance, securing the first rank. Dakshesh Sanjay Mishra and Aarav Bhatt followed closely, securing the second and third ranks respectively. Notably, Sanvi Jain from Karnataka emerged as the all-India girls topper, showcasing her exceptional abilities in the field of engineering.

Amidst the list of toppers, Sanvi Jain shared her experiences and challenges during her preparation for the exam. She reflected on the ups and downs she encountered, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and self-assessment. Jain highlighted the difficulties she faced while studying organic chemistry, requiring significant memorization. Despite these challenges, she remained determined and ultimately achieved success.

This year’s JEE Mains exam witnessed a remarkable achievement with a record-breaking 56 candidates securing the perfect score of 100 NTA points. Sanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi stood out as the two female candidates who achieved this remarkable feat. The high number of top scorers is anticipated to result in an increase in the cut-off for the JEE (Advanced) exam, which is a crucial requirement for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

A total of 10,67,959 candidates appeared for the JEE (Main) exam, and 250,284 of them have now become eligible to appear for the JEE (Advanced). The JEE (Advanced) is a highly competitive exam that serves as a gateway to admission into the esteemed IITs. Candidates who meet the NTA’s cut-off based on their JEE (Main) performance will be allowed to appear for the JEE (Advanced) exam.

The JEE (Main) exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs offered by National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded technical colleges. It also serves as a screening test for the JEE (Advanced) exam. The registration for the JEE (Advanced) exam is scheduled to open on Sunday, providing aspiring engineers with an opportunity to pursue their higher education in prestigious institutions.
