This refreshingly youthful look drew inspiration from 60s style icons Edie Sedgwick and Twiggy. “I wanted to reinterpret their signature pop color combinations and styles in a modern way,” she explained. “I love reinterpreting the elegant and feminine styles that the original models wore for these events, putting my own spin on it, sometimes making it funky, cool, and chic.”
With autumn in the air, what kind of fashion is Jennie embracing? “When it gets this cool, I love layering,” she said. “I always pull out my favorite leather jackets and enjoy the season’s mood.” She’s also currently on a mission to collect unique pieces. “I’m collecting brooches, scarves, cute socks – things that make my outfits unique. And pants. There are endless colors and fits – it’s like a never-ending journey.”
Fashion aside, Jennie has a busy few weeks ahead. She’s gearing up to release her new single “Mantra” this month. “We’re both really excited for this one. I want to create spaces for connection and shared experiences with my fans all over the world.” About the new track, Jennie said it’s “a fun, upbeat song that celebrates girl power and encourages all women to shine confidently as themselves.” With the success of her previous hits “You & Me” and “Solo,” expectations for her new single are high.
